Finsettle Services (Pty) Limited (“Finsettle”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barnard Jacobs Mellet Holdings Limited and an authorised user (member) of JSE Limited (“JSE”). Finsettle is licensed as a Custody and Settlement services provider under the JSE Equities Rules and Directives. It currently provides outsourced settlement and administrative services to seventeen trading and investment services providers. Assets under administration are in excess of R50 billion.
The services that Finsettle provide include :
- Monitoring and settlement of transactions in JSE listed and unlisted securities;
- Securities lending and borrowing and limited equity finance
- Settlement of transactions in African and International markets such as ADR’s, dual listed securities, Cape, Swiss and residual trades for local and international broker dealers;
- Investor services such as the conversion of certificated (paper) securities into an electronic record;
- IT service offerings: automated distribution of electronic reports (ERD) produced by the JSE, electronic brokers’ notes, statements and portfolio valuations and
- Transactions in local and international currencies.
Finsettle has a staff complement of thirty six people with a wealth of experience in the local and international settlement and securities lending arena. Hands-on management provides expertise and leadership to the dedicated operational team that aims to provide service excellence to its clients.
